Method
- To prepare the syrup for 6 servings, place the diced apple, apple cider, brown sugar, and cinnamon sticks in a saucepan and heat over medium heat.
- Bring the mixture to a boil and cook for 10 minutes until the apples are soft and the sugar is dissolved.
- Remove from the heat, let the mixture sit for 15 minutes, and strain through a sieve, crushing the apples.
- Pour the syrup into a jar or airtight container and refrigerate for up to 10 days.
- To make the macchiato,prepare the coffee in any preferred way and heat the milk.
- Add the apple syrup, milk, and coffee to the serving glass and stir.
